Digital Experience Informational Site
During summer 2021, I had the pleasure of joining McKesson’s digital experience team as a User Experience designer in designing their informational site.
Roles & Responsibilities:
User Research, UX Design (low fidelity + high fidelity mockups), Usability Testing
Tools Used:
Miro, Adobe Xd, Figma
Teammate:
Alexandria Wang
Timeline:
June 2021 - August 2021
Problem Statement: The Digital Experience Team is a new team. Currently, there is not a central place where we can send people to learn about us, who we are, how we work, and explain how we can add value to other teams and projects. We need a solution where teams can quickly learn about us, access UX resources, and request our services.
Research
Interview Goals
identify who our users are and what they do
identify user's needs and goals
identify possible pain points
identify kinds of resources and services the users are looking for
analyze competitors' strengths and weaknesses
Define
Persona
After synthesizing our data, we created a fictitious persona based on our users with an emphasis on their key frustrations and goals.

Usability Testing
We conducted a usability test with a low-fidelity prototype. We had 5 participants across McKesson US and Canada, all of which were users who also participated in our user research interviews.
The usability test we conducted over MS Teams where we had participants share their screen and navigate the prototype though Adobe xd. We began with asking some introductory questions and then asked the participants to perform a list tasks on the site. After testing, we collected qualitative data from post-test interview questions and synthesized our findings.
80% of participants wanted quicker access to services
100% of participants found the site and its content useful.
Task 2
You are looking for a persona for a project you are working on. Navigate to the resources page and search for the night shit persona and download it.
Task 1
Navigate to the User Experience homepage and find the services we offer. From there, submit a request for a service of your choice.
High Fidelity Prototype
Although there were no critical usability issues during our initial usability test, we asked our participants to note any parts that were confusing and suggest any improvements to make their experience seamless. We made some changes to our prototype based on our urer’s feedback.
